My Lord, My God

My Lord, My God

Tho I've been afflicted with the doubter's disease

My Lord, My God

You can cast them out and set my heart at ease.

As I see with eyes of faith your light

I'm blessed to embrace such a sight

The days go by- all hopes and dreams are gone

The focus of my life is dead- how could I be so wrong?

My lord my god I fall down on my knees

Accept my worship please my Lord, My God

My Lord my God what a blessing they receive

Tho not seeing to believe my Lord, My God

They say you are alive again

But how could that be true

No one comes back from that trip

I saw them plunge that sword in you

I saw them take you from the cross

And bind you up in cloth

I know they laid you in that tomb

I've seen enough to know I've seen enough

Within your wounds you plunge me deep

You place my hand within your side

And draw me to your side to keep

This walking open wound you make your bride.

Within your wounds is a cleft in the rock

There I find my resting place

Tho lost I'm found within your flock

For your work has made a place of grace.

My lord my god I fall down on my knees

Accept my worship please my Lord, My God

My Lord my God what a blessing they receive

Tho not seeing to believe my Lord, My God
