Pure In Heart

One thing I require

One love is my desire

To listen and obey

To really heed the words you say

Focussed and without fear

Single minded, ringing clear

My intentions in my weakest hour

Given over fully to your power.

Pure in heart I shall see

With eyes that view eternity

Pure in heart my dreams distill

Into the center of your will.

Your word perfected and made known

To live and die is Christ alone

Satisfied and fully set apart

When I am pure in heart.

Until with Christ I am made one

Conformed to the likeness of the Son

Then the lord I shall see, I shall see

As He is - in perfect purity.

Peace and perfect grace impart

One with christ and pure in heart

Pure in heart I would be

Let my saviour dwell in me.
