The Sign

Holy prophets spoke Holy words as the Spirit set their hearts afire

As a nation waited for consolation God promised to fulfill their desire!

The virgin daughter of David was found to be with Child

From the Holy Spirit he was conceived holy and undefiled!

The Holy one of Israel is your redeemer

Holy and Awesome is His Name!

God has raised up His horn of salvation

And life on earth would never be the same!

Our eyes have seen salvation- redemption now draws nigh

A sign within the heavens has lit a hearkening sky

Shepherds are amazed at the announcement

And wise men are sifting through the evidence

A king is pursuing him with malice

And a baby leaps with joy in his presence

Touching an old man in the temple

Filling the lips of an old prophetess

This Holy one still touches all who seek Him

And gives us Holy words to confess.
