Written in Stone

Ten words were written on uncut stone by God’s own mighty hand

And they were broken into pieces by the righteous anger of a man

By grace they were rewritten on hand hewn stone this time

These stones of testimony have withstood the test of time

For the one who gives this promise is faithful and true

He will keep his part and his will has been made known

There is coming a day when God will write his words upon our heart

For his word is as a chisel- it can carve a heart of stone

He will blot out our iniquity and remember it no more

And every one of Abrahams seed shall know the Lord

In mystery we stand in awe -His righteousness we’ll savor

In the day of His salvation -the day of his full favor
