Here I lie broken and bleeding

From efforts that had no hope of succeeding

Trying to break down walls with my head

Banging against them until I'm half dead...

I give it my all- but I will never make it fall

So I'm wailing at this wall- wailing at the wall...

I've never been one to quietly go

Into that good night of my soul

Or to buy the idea that death is a friend

And give up the fight that comes at the end

I give it my all- but I will never make it fall

So I'm wailing at this wall- wailing at the wall...

So Lord make a way where I can follow when I don't know where to stand

That which is denied me - is also from your hand!- Help me understand!

Here I go again on my own-

I should have known better, to go it alone

Will I ever learn grace is the best place to fall

Or keep wailing at this wall- I'm wailing at the wall.
