God is the King of My Heart

If God is my King then I will be known

By the same Love that my ruler has shown.

For my sovereign Lord wants to see

His purpose and plan bear fruit in me.

The Love of my heart unto jesus I give

A life that’s laid down is the life I must live

My mind thinking only on captive, pure thoughts

My strength now my weakness to be used as it ought.

May He know I’ll obey and will do what I’ve heard

My mouth saying just what he would say

My will working his will in His time and way.
