Incarnation

I, even I am the Lord and without me there is no Saviour

I, even I am the Lord, and this is the time of my favor

Is my arm so whithered that I may not save?

No power may bend me , no even the grave

Shall I destroy by the power of the glory I wear

As light destroys darkness for I’m too great to bear

My judgement is justice a righteous display

I am the master potter and my creature, you are clay!

What defense can man have for destroying the true

The good and the beautiful thing that I do?

I am Lord of creation- I shall create a way

A way of salvation, I’ll conceive and convey

I will keep my promise- a redeemer I’ll send

A deliverer redeemer, savior and friend!

I will become flesh and among my creation dwell

I will identify with them and by my grace will tell

Made in man’s likeness  I’ll appear as man

I’ll humble myself and I’ll show him my plan

Even unto a theif’s dark death on a cross

Mankinds great gain will be my staggering loss

The source of forgivenes where sin reconciles

My only salvation will first be reviled!

The answer to questions no one dares to ask

Mercy beyond measure I will bring to pass

I will make One so holy to become sin

That they might become righteous in Him.

He will die once for all so that they who still live

Will no longer live for themselves but will give

Their lives for the one who gave his life for them

To live in the light and to die to their sin

Behold I make a fountain within the wilderness

Behold a new work drawn from my holiness

Where man may come to rest and receive

The waters of life if they’ll only believe!
