Look to the Wounds

The problem of Evil, the problem of pain,

How can God be Just and let darkness remain?

We struggle for vict’ry over our own estate

We throw up our hands and we balk at that fate.

There’s only one answer as far as we see

At the end of the answer there’s still mystery

The darkness is driven by our very hearts

And God on Hs Throne’s driven far from these parts.

Look to the wounds of Jesus, Look to that sacred head

And find the One who suffered and yet rose up from the dead.

Look to the only answer that can ever satisfy

Look to the wounds of Jesus- the Who beyond the Why.

He’s no less tomorrow what He was yesterday.

The Ruler and Sovereign  Light , Truth and Way

So lay down your terms and your puny demands

And place your life within His merciful hands

Look to the wounds of Jesus, Look to that sacred head

And find the One who suffered and yet rose up from the dead.

Look to the only answer that can ever satisfy

Look to the wounds of Jesus- the Who beyond the Why.
