Adopted

Once we were orphans and widows

Awash in the storms of our plight

Once we were prisoners and captives

Led by the blind though the nite

Once we were slaves up for auction

Castaways  bound in our chains

Al that we were was forsaken

Unable to see what was plain.

Hallelujah, God has faced us and has placed us safely in His fold

Hallelujah, God has  risen and forgiven the sins of our souls

Once we were lost in our wandering

Pilgims of passions and pains

Once we were ravaged and homeless

But now we’re adopted as sons

Hallelujah, God has spoken, God has broken our chains,  so we stand

Hallelujah, God has saved us- and engraved us on the palm of His hand
