Anchor of My Soul

Anchored in the shelter of God's sanctuary

Enveloped in the presence of the Lord

Here in a heart that is wholly devoted

In weakness in His strength anchored.

The  storms of our life prove the strength of our anchor

The integrity of the living God’s control

His power  and promises give us hope

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul…

Keep me through the  surging  tempest

Keep me now from drifting away

Keep me through from the waves of worry

Anchor me and I will stay.

When you are swept off your feet, land on your knees

And cling to the  anchor for the anchor holds

Anchoring our faith in the love of God,

The sure and secure anchor of our souls

Stay me in the awful ocean

Of my doubting make an end

For he who doubts is like a wave of the sea

Driven and cast by the raging wind

With patience in His love I'll rest,

While  clinging to His guiding hand,

Declaring that our God knows best,

Devastated, in His strength I'll stand.

We’ll anchor our praise to who He is

In this hope we are secure

For Anchored safe in heaven’s harbor

We shall rest forevermore
