Deliberate Dancer

I’m not much of a dancer I’ll admit

These legs of mine are pretty out of it

Sort of been told I have two left feet

Whatever that means, I still can’t keep a beat…

But if the earth will be inherited by the meek

I won’t mind to stay humble Nor will I seek

To develop a set rhythmic moves

Or be up on the latest steps and grooves

But I’ll give it up for Jesus

My heart is stepping out

Moving to the beat and you’ll know

Another white guy was made whiter than snow

I’ll give it up for Jesus

Just call me God’s own fool

If being self conscious  waters down my romance

I’ll leave it at the door on my way to the dance

Don’t have to be much of a dancer

If in Jesus I move and I live

Cause all of the rhythms of life and of light

Are the moves only Jesus can give

I’ll give it up for Jesus

My heart is stepping out

Moving to the beat and you’ll know

Another white guy was made whiter than snow

I’ll give it up for Jesus

Just call me God’s own fool

If being self conscious  waters down my romance

I’ll leave it at the door on my way to the dance
