Draw me Closer

What a mystery

How I can be

in you and you in me

That’s my reality

And still I pursue

In all I do

A clearer View

Of knowing You

Draw me close to you

Tho in you I abide

Draw me to your side

Though in me you reside

My heart pants for you

And so you quench my thirst

Yet still I thirst again

As I have from the first…

For in this world our greatest

havings are our wantings

Our longings and desires

The thing that you require

Our great sufficiency our greatest need…

A servant at the same time freed.

Bind me to you Jesus

Place my ear against the door

Pierce my ear with the nail,

and hammer of my Lord.
