Greater Glory

We are called to magnify God’s glory

Though how this is is still a mystery

To redden the ruby

To whiten the snow

To brighten the sun

To extend a rainbow

All of this is more than we can understand

But it’s part of His Majesty’s plan…

To beautify the teachings of Christ

The doctrine of God to adorn

When from before the foundations of the earth

This glory He has borne

Give Him Greater glory!

Magnify His name!

Give Him greater glory

This is our highest aim!

That we could be an instument

Of this terrifying task

But nonetheless our calling

This is more than we can grasp

To enhance his majesty

Is like widening the sky

Or deepening the seas

Or presuming to teach the eagle to fly

Give Him Greater glory!
