I will Fear the Lord

Although my  face is on the floor My heart won’t follow suit

Until your words have broken it- it’s blind and deaf and mute

Although my knees are calloused my soul won’t be contrite…

Until it’s humbled by your hand it really won’t be right.

I would bow down without ceasing

I would find my rightful place

A state of awe and holiness

So I might seek your face..

To stand before your presence-

To boldly enter in

In wisdom I will fear the Lord

And then life can begin!

The fear of the Lord is clean enduring forever

The glory of the Lord is pure and righteous altogether…

I would bow down without ceasing

I would find my rightful place

A state of awe and holiness

So I might seek your face..

To stand before your presence-

To boldly enter in

In wisdom I will fear the Lord

And then life can begin!
