Single Vision

In a mirror dimly

With darkened eyes we see

There’s a grace that shields us from glory

And also the depths of mercy

We’re sheltered from the evil too

That lurks about each door

We’re spared the truth of the unseen

That would fill our souls with terror

Lord give us a vision with the eyes of our heart

We’ll gaze intently on one sight set apart

Though all the world bids us to look to our own

We would see Jesus and see Him alone

Then we shall see him with eyes clear and bright

See beyond veilings and walk in the light

Eyes all wide open From radience unhid

Gaze on more glory than Moses once did

Give my eyes a single vision That I might clearly see

One sight with insight my vision renew

A single vision of no one but You
