Day 18

The Fellowship of His Suffering

We would own your cause

We  would shout Your name

We would never pause

As  Christ  we proclaim

We must fight the fight

Then, If we would reign.

And To light the light

We become the flame

Comfort pleasure ease

Power  pride and fame

On such  things as these

We can lay no claim

We release our grip

On our humble offering

In the fellowship

Of his suffering.

This world is no friend to grace

To wish us Godspeed  in the race.

As onward  toward the mark we press

Until in Christ we take our rest.

In this place of grace

In all things we share

As we seek His face

We must serve and care

For His mercies sake

‘Neath His shelt’ring wing

In the fellowship

Of His suffering
