35_Tower of Power

In building a tower there's surely a cost

For all of the things we once thought gain  are lost

Our rock of salvation now surely shall build

A tower of power in those He has filled.

We are weak  and weary and we are but frail

We are feeble but Jesus never shall fail

For he is our tower and strong mighty shield

When  in our weakness to Him shall we yield.

We're trophies of grace for the ancient of days

His glory and power forever we'll praise

We'll inherit the kingdom if we remain meek

For power is perfected in those who are weak

Crippled confused and scattered like sheep

Christ comes to indwell us- our souls He shall keep

For in through and to Him is all praise and power

And those He indwells are a strong mighty tower

For just as we're buried with Him in the grave

And just as He by God's glory was raised

Even so we shall walk in a life that is new

He raised us up with Him with power to rule

We're trophies of grace for the ancient of days

His glory and power forever we'll praise

We'll inherit the kingdom if we remain meek

For power is perfected in those who are weak.
