Child of Fire

I can be what I want to be if I only want God's will

For then my heart will only seek to be more like Christ still

To be a child of fire

Burning with the one desire

To be more like Christ day by day

In what I do and what I say.

To blaze across the heavens as I reveal His grace

To burn white hot with holiness because I've seen His face

Oh to be a child of fire His spirit burning in my eye

A flaming arrow of compassion as from God's bow I fly.

And in the burning of the blaze this holy holocaust

I will seek to show His ways as he purifies the dross
