If I wait

Create in me a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit in me

Pure and holy, giving glory to the righteous King

Purify my heart and mind and open my eyes so I’ll see

The Lord of Glory enters in thru gates of eternity

You are merciful, so magnificent

So in your presence I fall and repent

The solid rock is now my stand, my stay

Forever he’s my living way.

If I’ll just wait upon you

You will show me the way

You’ll clear up my view

And make my night day

If I ‘ll wait upon you, you are faithful and true

To show me just what you’d have me to do

If I wait, wait on the Lord

You will supply the need so I can afford

For whatever you have in your plans for me to do

You will also make a way that I can be true

Clear out my path-

All the things that would weigh me down

you sort out the chaff

And I cast down my crown

If I ‘ll wait upon you, you are faithful and true

To show me just what you’d have me to do
