Stake your Claim
You staked
your claim with a cross of wood
When your
obedience left you dead.
Into
Golgotha’s skull it pierced
And so you
crushed the serpent’s head
The cross
where you have bled and died
The place
where you were raised
The cross
where you were crucified
And pierced
is now a place of praise
The cross is
where the wrath you bore
And hung in
holy shame
And set us
free forevermore
To no more
bear sin’s blame.
You staked
your claim with a cross of wood
When your
obedience left you dead.
Into
Golgotha’s skull it pierced
And so you
crushed the serpent’s head
