The Walk and the Way

I lift your name on high

but here I am on earth

Stuck  here in this miry clay

unsure of my worth.

I fill my mind with your word

But I fill my life with things

So I cannot hear your heartcry

I cannot use my wings.

Lift me up as you are lifted up

Place me on the  cross you carved for me

That I may be crucified in Christ

As so you'll set me free.

Walking by grace

Standing by grace

Flying by grace

Falling by grace.

The walk and the way

A path in a wilderness

The race and the journey

The call toward which I press.

I'll walk in your wonder

I'll walk in your will

For you are the way the only way

My purpose is fulfilled.
