Awestruck

Awestruck

In the sunsetÝ I saw a great city rising up from the horizon line

I stoppedÝ by the road the sight was so pretty and let it wash over my mind

Then I watched as the sun sank so quickly and lit up the skies with its fire

And I thought of the burning in my bones that lights up my deepest desire.

AndÝ thought of the judgment that is to come

I am awestruck, awestruck dancing like a child in the light

I am awestruck, awestruck, Falling on my face and lifted to new heights

There are no words that will ever suffice

There is no treasure at any price

But the realms of glory tell the story

And in awe we respond in delight!

I saw the day dawn in the sunrise and saw how fast darkness can flee

I wondered at light you canít see with the eye and remembered it rising in me

I watched as it rose in the distance and saw it wash over the Earth

I saw how it met no resistance like grace when it sparks a new birth

You display all your glory around me

In the earth in the seas in the skies

But the glory you show in believers

Is a sight that canít be seen with mere eyes.

I am awestruck, awestruck dancing like a child in the light

I am awestruck, awestruck, Falling on my face and lifted to new heights

There are no words that will ever suffice

There is no treasure at any price

But the realms of glory tell the story

And in awe we respond in delight!
