Behold, He comes

Behold, He comes

He comes from the outside- breaks into our world below

He comes by Godís authority because god loved us so.

And there is no one like him- Heís a wonder and a sign

Of grace and power and judgment-fully man and fully divine.

He comes as the creator who over the waters did dwell

He comes as a pillar of fire and cloud to be our Emmanuel.

He comes in perfect wisdom, he comes in perfect love

He comes to bring the kingdom and to take his own above.

Behold He comes.

To represent us he becomes

The unique and holy incarnate Son

He comes to overcome.

Behold He comes

And he comes to seek and save

He comes to overcome the grave

He comes to overcome.

True God of true God, true man of true man,

He comes in the flesh in obedience to Godís plan.

He comes to represent us he comes to intercede

He comes to satisfy our god and so weíre saved and freed.

Because he was made perfect, obedient to the end

We can be conformed to Him if on Him we depend.

He comes in perfect wisdom, he comes in perfect love

He comes to bring the kingdom and to take his own above.

Behold He comes.

To represent us he becomes

The unique and holy incarnate Son

He comes to overcome.

Behold He comes

And he comes to seek and save

He comes to overcome the grave

He comes to overcome.
