In the Light (the Blessed Light)

In the Light (the Blessed Light)

Fault is so easy to find yet to our own faults we are blind

Will we ever see things aright?

We want to go our way but we want others to pay

Will we ever walk in the light

In the light the mystery is revealed

All our delusions to this light must yield

In the light the blessed light

We see with true insight

In the light there is nothing concealed.

To know oneself is to be blessed

For then our sins can be confessed

Will our estimation ever be right?

If we know how dark we are

We can be as shining stars

Speaking the truth in love in the light.

In the light we see The darkness flee

From the blackness of our hearts we are set free

In the light, in the blessed light

We see our broken wicked plight

When glory burns blinded eyes shall see

We are in the light

Children of delight

Placed in the fires of glory burning bright

Set ablaze by the burning gaze

Of the blessed holy sight

Christ is the worldís only light!

Undeserving and blind, depraved in our mind

Yet god has called us out

Into his marvelous light called us out from our night

He has saved us from sin and from doubt

He has called us so he draws us

And he saves us by his might

He has called us out of darkness

To exult in His marvelous light.
