It was all of mercy

It was all of mercy

When I made my plans and suffered loss

When I had no resource to pay the cost

It was all of mercy

Those dark days without a light

When I waited with ho hope in sight

It was all of mercy

When all is stripped away and you alone remain

Then I can see the need for a change

What you saved me from and to

Is clear now in the light of eyes made new

When IÝ tried to suffice and find that Iíd failed

Your meaning and purpose were finally unveiled.

It was all of mercy

I walked away from the things I loved and hated

And nailed them to the cross

When I laid it on the altar and it was consumed

The unexpected endings The unforseen loss

When I felt the sting of judgment On my thievery and lies

When my arrogance left me lonely When I was punished and chastised

It was all of mercy

When my prayers were answered

When the answers were removed

The Lord has given and taken away

And his blessedness is proved

It was all of mercy.
