The Lord Knows Best

What you give us overflows our cup

You are blessed in what your wisdom denies

Those you love you have lifted up

And those you love you will chastise.

For you alone are good and wise.

Over every circumstance

You are sovereign of our soul

There is nothing left to chance

All is under your control.

Whether life or death

Both are a gift from your right hand

Every move and every breath

As you give and take Lord help us trust
