The Precious Palm of His Hand

The Precious Palm of His Hand

My name is engraved on the palm of His hand

And who shall remove it from there?

No one in heaven nor on this earth can

Erase the imprint that He bears.

For what is written is bound for all time

The Lambís book of life forever stands

And all who are found in itís pages divine

Are the names written on the precious palm of His hand.

Mine was the death

Mine the last breath

He released when He paid all the cost.

Mine was the shame

And mine was the blame

He took to the death on the cross

It should have been me,

Instead I am free

Because He has suffered such loss.

My name is engraved on the palm of His hand

For I am the wounds he has borne

For all of my sin he wore like a brand

They scarred the fair flesh that was torn

Mine was the death

Mine the last breath

He released when He paid all the cost.

Mine was the shame

And mine was the blame

He took to the death on the cross

It should have been me,

Instead I am free

Because He has suffered such loss.
