The Gospel Made Plain

The Gospel Made Plain

This is where the Good News begins

Jesus the Christ had died for our sins

He was wounded for our iniquities

Pierced for our transgressions was He

He was buried in a grave meant for you and for me.

It was all in accordance with the Scriptures' plan

When on the third day he arose again

To many witnesses this all was revealed

And if you believe this Good News you are healed

Forgiven and justified, your sentence repealed.

And this is the gospel of Grace

Where there was wrath there is Peace in its place

If we obeyÝ and repent and believe

If this Good News we will only receive

The gospel will sound your reprieve.

Up from the confines of the grave

The Son of God did rise

No longer dead but mighty to save

He who was dead is now alive

All other sacrifices are dead

And we have choked on the world's lie

But He has crushed the Serpent's head

He has risen nevermore to die.

Empty graves are the sign of Your power and might

A place of rest for those who fight the good fight.

He who had breathed His final breath

Took on our broken stain

And dark was the Sin He took to death

He bore our cross and bore our blame

Paid theÝ cost of wrath for eternal gain.

And this is the gospel of Grace

Where there was wrath there is Peace in its place

If we obeyÝ and repent and believe

If this Good News we will only receive

The gospel will sound your reprieve.

I'm gonna let God be God

I'm gonna let Him have His way

I'll waith upon Him with patience

Listen to what He has to say.

And when it's obvious I'll act

I will war with all my might

I will love justice and do mercy

As I fight the good fight.

My Fountain and My Fire

Flow in me my fountain

With living water flood my soul

This broken vessel overflow

Let the living river roll.

Refine my wandering heart

Burn in my bones living fire

Purify and cleanse my mind

Let the flames burn ever higher.

Oh my fountain and my fire

Three times Holy, mark of my desire

Floods of glory in a sea of Light

The burning radiance that obscures my sight

For by His cleansing blood we have been blessed

His Holy fire consumes our rags

And in His righteousness we are dressed.

You are my One desire

My fountain and my fire.
