Keep Me Purified

Keep Me Purified

My Lips would taste a blazing coal

Purified they would be made whole

Fitted for heaven's holy goal

But my lips are far from pure.

My Eyes would see the glorious sight

Sanctified they seek this Light

The Face of Glory shining Bright

But my eyes are far from pure.

Lord purify me and refine

This wayward heart and doubtful mind.

Keep my lips and eyes by Grace.

Keep my eyes turned to your Face

Oh Keep me- Purified- Keep me.

My Ears would hear your Spirit's sound

PiercedÝ atÝ your door-as a bondslaveÝ bound

To Receive that more sure word they've found

But my ears are far from pure.

My mind would hope to come to learn

The renewing Wisdom others spurn

And in repentance then to turn

But my mind is far from pure.

My heart would learn to only beat

To be a footstool for your feet

Laid fully on your mercy seat

But my heart is far from pure

Lord purify me and refine

This wayward heart and doubtful mind.

Keep my lips and eyes by Grace.

Keep my eyes turned to your Face

Oh Keep me- Purified- Keep me.
