Flowcharting: Your Map to Sanity

The flowchart is a visual outline of the information. Each level represents a screen and/or control that must be created. This "map" is essential for the production phase.

The flowchart will eventually develop into the presentation structures for your project. A good way of approaching flowcharting is to create a 3 by 5 card for each task of the project. Group related elements. Provide alternative access methods.

If you have more than five elements on one screen, it is too crowded. Create another screen. Balance your structure- and don't make the user drill down too deep for the information they are seeking.
